Rules for Indoor Hours Sign-Ups
By using the indoor hours scheduling application, you are agreeing to the following rules. The rules on this page are subject to change from time to time at our sole discretion. It is your responsibility to frequently check this page. However, we will do our best to let you know of any major changes to these rules.
- You may only show up to the Penn State Tennis Center on nights that we have indoor hours if you have successfully reserved a spot on this website on the schedule page. This means that only 18 people on a given night will be allowed to play.
- If you fail to show up to indoor hours after reserving a spot, your sign-up privileges may be revoked. Also, if you are consistently late your sign-up privileges may be revoked. If you know you can't make it, or you know you'll be late, simply remove your name from the list and let someone else take your spot.
- You may not drop a spot with the full intention of having a specific person sign up for that spot. For example, you and a friend are on the website at the same time and he drops his spot and you add this spot 2 seconds later after talking to him on the phone about doing so. This type of activity is easy to detect and will not be tolerated.
- Please do not have a friend log in to your account to add or drop a spot. We understand that there may be times when you cannot avoid this, but if something goes wrong, you will both face consequences.
- Please do not reserve a spot if you are unsure whether you will be able to play. Please only reserve a spot if you are confident you will be able to attend.
- If there are 18 players playing on a given night, the last two people to sign up for that day will be required to play King of the Court if not enough of the other 16 players volunteer to do so.
- You will notice that the first spot on the list on any given night is usually taken by Eric. This is because we plan on having an officer present at every night, so this spot serves as a placeholder.
- Typical indoor hours are Sunday nights from 8-10pm, and on Monday nights from 9:30-11pm.
- Sign-ups will open either the Tuesday or the Wednesday before that week's indoor hours at exactly 1:01am. Sign-ups will open on Tuesdays for people who helped clean the stadium, and on Wednesdays for everyone else. The active countdowns on the schedule page will let you know when you will be able to sign-up if you are unsure. You can check your premium status by going to the account page.
- Sign-ups will close one hour before the scheduled time of play. The active countdowns on the schedule page will indicate when the sign-ups will close if you are unsure.
- Please do not drop your spot within minutes of this deadline. If you drop your spot with only one minute before the timeslot closes, you are not giving anyone a good opportunity to sign up for this spot.
